One of the sources I am using
for my paper is an article by Gregory A. Caldeira entitled “Public Opinion and
the U.S. Supreme Court: FDR’s Court Packing Plan.” The article was found in the
December 1987 issue of The American Political Science Review.

The article covers the public opinion polls of American citizens conducted during a four-month span of time in 1937. The polls covered were conducted by Gallup and show what Americans thought of FDR’s Judicial Procedures Reform Bill of 1937.
Along with giving an overview of what Americans thought on FDR’s plan, the author gives detailed graphs showing the amount of media attention the Bill got. The author also gives several useful graphs that show how public opinion for the Bill eroded over time. Also useful in the article is a chart that shows the amount of support for the Bill as certain events took place, like a speech by FDR. This source will be invaluable in portraying the fluctuations of public support for the Judicial Procedures Reform Bill of 1937.
